What this will be

A tool for the trip you're actually planning

Routesmith is being built for advanced geocachers — the ones running multi-day, multi-hundred-cache road trips with priority-based routing, county coverage rules, group coordination, and post-trip reporting that does more than list the GC codes you logged. It complements rather than competes with Project-GC's data exploration, picks up where existing planners give out, and treats trip-building as the logistics problem it actually is.

The project is in development now. There's no signup form, no waitlist, no countdown timer. When there's something to show, it will be here.

01 · PLAN
Trip planning
Priority-aware routing, county coverage rules, sub-trip inheritance, validation against common trip rules. Logistics tooling for trips that have outgrown casual planners.
02 · FIELD
In-trip companion
Browser extension for Project-GC and geocaching.com, bidirectional trip state, inline editing without context-switching.
03 · REPORT
Post-trip reporting
County maps, highlight rules for notable finds, per-day breakdowns, shareable social posts. A trip report that does the work for you.
